I photograph landscapes in Norway. Mostly three things: the coast up north, the mountains in Jotunheimen, and clouds.

The clouds started as a side project and became the main one. At 100 megapixels a cumulonimbus stops being a shape and starts looking like a building, with walls and edges you can actually read. I keep going back to them.

I trained at Bilder Nordic School of Photography and shoot a Hasselblad medium format system. I chose it because I make the pictures to be printed, and printed big.

My day job is technology development at Norway's air ambulance service, mostly around search and rescue helicopters. I'm also a trained paramedic. That work has kept me on the coast and in the mountains in all kinds of weather for most of my adult life, which is probably why I ended up photographing the weather.
